Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 8, 2026
This cookie policy explains what cookies Rolemore uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site operators.
We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage to store session state on your device.
2. Cookies We Use
Authentication cookies: set by Supabase to maintain your signed-in session. These are strictly necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled. They expire when you sign out or after 7 days of inactivity.
Preference cookies: used to remember your chosen language and colour theme (light/dark). These are stored in localStorage and persist until you clear your browser data.
Analytics cookies: we use PostHog to collect anonymised, aggregated data about how features are used. This helps us improve the product. PostHog operates under a data processing agreement and does not sell your data.
Advertising and conversion cookies: when you accept cookies, we use Google Ads (the gtag.js tag) to measure conversions from our advertising campaigns and to improve the relevance of the ads we show. These are only activated after you opt in.
3. Advertising and Conversion Tracking
We run Google Ads campaigns and use Google's gtag.js tag to understand which campaigns lead to sign-ups and purchases.
We use Google Consent Mode v2. By default, advertising storage, ad personalisation, ad-user-data, and analytics storage are all set to 'denied'. They switch to 'granted' only after you click 'Accept' on our cookie banner. If you decline, the Google tag stays in its denied state and does not write advertising cookies to your device.
Google may process the resulting data as an independent third party in line with its own policies. You can review how Google uses data from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage ad personalisation at https://adssettings.google.com.
4. Cookies We Do Not Use
We do not write advertising or analytics cookies before you give consent — Google Consent Mode keeps ad and analytics storage denied by default until you accept.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Stripe may set cookies when you interact with the payment flow to prevent fraud and ensure a secure transaction. These are governed by Stripe's own cookie policy.
PostHog sets a first-party analytics cookie on our domain. It does not link your usage data to your identity without your consent.
Google sets cookies through our Google Ads tag once you accept cookies, to attribute conversions and — where ad personalisation is granted — to support remarketing. These are governed by Google's own privacy and cookie policies.
6. Managing Cookies
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to Rolemore.
Most browsers provide settings to manage cookies under Privacy, Security, or Site Settings. Common browsers: Chrome (Settings → Privacy → Cookies), Firefox (Preferences → Privacy), Safari (Settings → Privacy).
To opt out of PostHog analytics, you can enable the 'Do Not Track' (DNT) signal in your browser. PostHog respects this signal.
To opt out of Google's ad personalisation, visit https://adssettings.google.com. Declining cookies on our banner keeps Google's tag in its denied state.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this cookie policy when we add or remove technologies. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
